Plague Poems
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there’s been a global pandemic going on recently. Being a poet, near the start of lockdown I sat down and began to write a series of Plague Poems for Twitter - starting slowly, then ramping up where I’d wake up in them morning and the first thing I’d do was write and post the day’s plague poem (trying to get it up before 11am), and then petering out as the plague became (incredibly) just another feature of every day life.
These poems are now available as part of my collection ‘The Backwater Sermons’ - published by Canterbury Press. You can buy it HERE.
